Veterans Day is a time when Americans honor those who have served in the U.S. Military—a time to express gratitude to those who have made great sacrifices to preserve our freedom. On this day, we honor those individuals and reflect on their sacrifice. All of the men and women throughout history who fought in battles, served in the National Guard and the reserves or were stationed in a base, stateside or overseas, did their part to protect the safety and rights of Americans.
Today we remember those who have given of themselves for our country, we reflect on the blessings of liberty and the sacrifices that keep us free, we reflect on those special people – our veterans.
More than courage is needed to risk your life for your country. It takes commitment, caring, and deep personal strength. It takes the heart of a hero.
